What is a Green Pill
A green pill is a piece of information that enables us to move forward (green light) through an intersection of our life where we have been stopped. Realizing that Jesus spent most of his life studying with holy people in other lands is one such green pill. It puts him in the context of the massive spiritual activity of the time as a successful practitioner among hundreds or thousands of other successful practitioners. Between 13 and 30 he left the Holy Land, of those 17 years, 11 were in India, the other 6 were getting there and back, through Kashmir (then Tibet), Persia, Greece, and Arabia. Of his life between 13 and 30, the Bible says only "And Jesus increased in wisdom, and stature, and favor with God and man"—these resources explain how that happened.
Jesus' life beyond the mainstream story
Some of us are sincerely interested in the life of Jesus and his teachings, but are powerfully distrustful of the Church that claims him. Rightly so. The possibility that Jesus spent more than half his life away from Palestine, visiting Persia, Greece, India, and Tibet helps us understand what he taught. Several historical accounts claim this, and they are from reliable sources. If true, he was part of a fabric of shared teachings known as the Mahasiddha tradition (the tradition of great powers or great masters) that extended from China to the Middle East (featured in video A, about the life of Gurdjieff: Meetings with Remarkable Men.)
This post is for those interested in leaving the box of institutional religion and the prejudices it installs, and accessing the teachings of a great Buddha named Yeshua (Hebrew), Issa (Arabic or Hindu), or Jesus (Latin) directly. It does not discuss the teachings, but points to where to find them. It also sets us up to understand that what the Roman Church taught was 95% mind control, 5% Jesus. If we consider the period between roughly 480 CE and 1806 CE—the so-called Holy Roman Empire, when Popes controlled all the European Kings and appointed one Emperor—a Second Roman Empire, the pieces all fit into place. 45 Holy Roman Emperors carried the spear of Longinus that pierced Jesus’ heart on the cross and treasured it as a holy relic. Many used it in battle to defeat their enemies and believed it had magical powers. Hitler took over Austria to reclaim it as a modern German Emperor. Were these Emperors truly followers of Jesus or of those who put him to death? Were they following “love thy neighbor as thyself” as they waged war after war, or some other directive? (See the Richard Bock video below for the best summary of Jesus’ travels and the spear of Longinus details.)
5 years studying the teachings of the Buddha
That commands, love thy neighbor as thyself, or do unto others as you would have them do unto you, actually come from the Buddha. It is part of his teaching that Jesus picked up. One of the most important people of the 20th century, Yogananda, who came to Europe and America to teach millions spiritual practices, personally went to the monastery where records of Jesus’ visit to India and Tibet were stored and confirmed them (see 2 below). Jesus was in India for 11 years and studied with Buddhists for five of them. So it is not a question of Coke versus Pepsi. Coke drank Pepsi for five years and became Coke. Yogananda spent his life teaching both yoga and Jesus’ message. He considered Jesus a great Yogi.
Taking this seriously, we now know that Jesus did yoga, meditated, fasted, and did all or most of the things other practitioners of the Mahasiddha tradition did, and developed the same powers thousands of others have. This lays the groundwork for a unified religion which is actually a science of consciousness, not a belief system or way of upholding identity. You can, as a Christian, stop pretending you have found the “right way”—the belief system that “makes you right” that a mostly mind control church taught you. You can, as a Christian, do the same practices Jesus did to expand and stabilize divine consciousness in himself. You are not doing anything bad. You are following his example more closely than you were before. And you may get the same results he did.
Background and proofs
1) Notovitch (or Notovich)
“In 1894, a Russian explorer named Nicholas Notovich published a controversial book which claimed that during a journey through the Himalayas, he had visited a Buddhist monastery where he had been shown sacred manuscripts which revealed that Jesus had travelled and preached in India, Tibet, and Persia before his ministry in Palestine.” That book is discussed in excellent video B. It also discusses four witnesses, very respected people who later confirmed it.
2) “The Yoga of Jesus: Understanding the Hidden Teachings”
The book summarizes what was taught by Yogananda from 1920 through 1950: That Jesus was indeed a yogi, had studied with the masters of the Himalayas, and brought back a simplified teaching suitable for the people of the Middle East. Yogananda was sent to the West to make the teachings of the Mahasiddha tradition generally and of Jesus specifically better understood. He was the second wave, bringing Jesus’ teachings to the West again, 1900 years later, again in a simplified form.
3) Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East
“Eleven men embarked upon a journey in 1894 with one objective: ...to find the great spiritual teachers of the Far East and witness their uncommon abilities.” These men were mostly professors and scientists from the US and UK. Because of the British occupation of India and China, they had heard about masters who could defy normal human abilities, and wanted to know what those masters taught. When they found the masters, the masters explained to them what they did using the language Jesus had used, and went to great lengths to help the men understand what Jesus had actually taught and meant. The first book was published in 1924 and was considered the beginning of the New Age Movement. The New Age began as a Christian Revival.
4) “The Gospel of Thomas: The Hidden Sayings of Jesus”
"Best known of the Nag Hammadi manuscripts (a collection buried c. 370 C.E. and found accidentally by an Egyptian farmer in 1945), the Gospel of Thomas confronts readers with sayings attributed to a Jesus who seems more like a Zen master (‘split a piece of wood; I am there’) than either a political messiah or incarnate god....” — how appropriate for someone who had studied with yogis, meditators, and zen masters.
Interestingly, Thomas means “twin” and the disciple Thomas is sometimes referred to as Judas or as Didymus Judas or as Judas Thomas. Didymus also means twin. Who would understand Jesus better than his own twin, with whom he shared biological structure? Thomas apparently stayed home and didn't go to India or Tibet, so was initially "doubting Thomas" but then eventually caught on. Having a twin contradicts the “God’s only begotten son” story promoted by the Romans, so they leave it out. What else did your Bible leave out? Jesus had a twin brother, who wrote a Gospel, and Jesus studied the Buddha hardcore for five years. Pretty major details. If you really want insights into what he was teaching, read this Gospel, written by his twin brother, who ‘got him’ perhaps better than anyone else.
The Nag Hammadi scrolls, found in 1945 are carefully translated here, and the full translation, word for word is listed. The scrolls are in Coptic. Coptic Christians stayed independent of the Roman Church and still preserve original teachings to the present. They also confirm many of the claims about Jesus’ travels in the first video mentioned above. The Coptics are currently being genocided with others in the Holy Land.
5) “The Mysterious World: Atlas of the Unexplained”
This book is a general survey of all sorts of phenomena known to people of other centuries, but mostly forgotten now. One of the topics discussed is levitation. According to the author, there are over 250 Catholic Saints who levitated, some did multiple times, and there are written church records that show it, with hundreds of witnesses. Nearly all of them levitated in church, while standing near the nave (a corner where sound from pipe organs was concentrated). Eric Dollard, a contemporary scientist, was well aware of this power and used to go to his local cathedral to get into transcendental states. (One Dollard interview is Video C).
In one video, Dollard specifically discusses the way Medieval Cathedrals and their pipe organs worked to shift the consciousness of those visiting them and to permit people to have visions of other realities, including visions of heaven and “seeing the light.” They pulsed sound using thousands of pipes and energy using electric coils. Note that the metallurgy of the organs and geometry of the buildings was not European and expressed the scientific understandings of ancient, more advanced people. Europeans were merely slaves of those who had this ancient science at their disposal, who built the churches, like the pyramids, using slave labor. The Roman Church was built on Egyptian and other occult traditions, not on Jesus, whom it used as a front man for spiritual legitimacy. Its central imagery was a man pure of heart being tortured to death. Its “society of Jesus”—the Jesuits—also tortured millions of normal people to death in gruesome public ceremonies for heresy—not believing its official beliefs. This included burning 9 million women to death as witches. Saying “this is bullshit” had the harshest consequences. The central message was that suffering in this life made one pure for the next life, or afterlife. Right. Enjoy your slavery. Be grateful.
Those who attended the churches were confronted with transcendental experiences on Sunday, and slavery and violence the rest of the week, and if you doubted, death for you in the most gruesome, painful ways imaginable, as your friends and family watched. As Dollard points out, there was a decision to stop doing maintenance on the organs, and when that happened “the age of Enlightenment” began: people shifted from mysticism to scientism. Believing in God and Heaven no longer made sense, because people were no longer having mystical experiences every Sunday, because the music went out of tune. The new “divine authority”— science—was controlled by the same people who controlled the churches.
6) Castaneda’s “The Fire from Within” and “The Power of Silence”
Comparative religious studies can teach us things. Understanding how other people perceive the same things we do, but from a slightly different angle, can help us realize what we are actually perceiving, perceiving past the cultural prejudices we have learned, the conceptions that organize our perceptions. In the 1960s and 1970s, Castaneda had contact with a Native American tradition thousands of years old that scientifically and methodically explored human consciousness. The Fire from Within is the abstract summary and map of what they perceived. It includes three items of interest to the story laid out here:
Heaven
1) Heaven is an actual realm that living human beings can perceive if we shift our vibration (and so are hell and purgatory or limbo)—a vibrating pipe organ has the power to coerce that shift. Castaneda’s books give clear instructions on how to perceive heaven (but it may take years of practice to be successful). Castaneda himself perceived all these realms in states of sober consciousness.
God
2) God does exist and is conscious in every form of life at all times, but we are misled by “seeing the light” or “seeing the savior”: these are actually a sterile, lifeless template of our own structure, not a conscious being. His teachers call it “the mold of man.” Perceiving it depends on a shift in consciousness, a shift in vibratory state, to a different channel or spectrum of perceiving—also possible with a vibrating pipe organ or other similar instrument—like big subwoofers and high-end tweeters.
Demons
3) There are inorganic beings, with no bodies but with consciousness, that interact with us. Some are mostly predatory (what we call demons) and some are the refined spirits of our ancestors who achieved superb states of consciousness (what we call angels). Learning how these beings operate and either seduce or help us is of great practical use to anyone attempting to align with the divine. These beings can help us see the mold of man and deceive us about what we are seeing—thinking we are seeing God or the savior when we are not. They also act as counselors to deceptive religious and political leaders, because they feed on emotion, and animal terror is their favorite food. Religions exist to terrorize believers into submission to terrifying leaders, and to instigate activities that create more suffering, like holy wars.
Churches using mind control tech today
There is reason to believe that the megachurches funded by the US Government (under the Office of Faith-based and Community Partnerships that receives billions of dollars a year) use a similar sound technology to the one used in Medieval Churches, with the same goal: To create mystical fanatics who are deceived about what they are perceiving, and willing to “die for God.” It isn’t God and it isn’t the Savior and what it tells us (also included in the music) is not trustworthy. Watch this documentary, Jesus Camp, and the scam comes into focus.
Castaneda’s teachers call God “The Spirit” and are very elaborate and precise about how to interact with it successfully. His book “The Power of Silence” describes how The Spirit speaks to us and how to recognize its true commands. It also tells us that seeing The Spirit directly is fatal, so anything that presents itself as God is not that. It should be of high interest to anyone wanting to hear and recognize God’s commands to read highly precise instructions from another tradition—one uninfected by the mind control church that corrupted our thinking.
Hundreds of saints have emerged from this tradition, with powers equal to or greater than Jesus’, and have put themselves at the service of those around them, as he did. They claim that they are able to travel across space in dreams to study with masters in other countries—the descendants of the masters he studied with. Their teachings may be the most updated version of what he himself studied.
Summary
Although we have been trained to have exclusive ideas about our religion, and view it as the only correct one, it is actually part of tradition of teachings present in Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Believing that “what I know is right” and that “everyone else is wrong and bad” fits us right into the system of “divide and conquer” used to enslave us—it is the exact opposite of “love thy neighbor as thyself” and “judge not lest thee be judged.” Expanding our views to realize that Jesus’ teachings are actually practiced elsewhere, under other names, should be a relief and liberation. Even “New Agers” doing “inner work” are actually following the same teachings Jesus was aware of, through the Mahasiddha tradition, passed on by Gurdjieff in the early 1900s: See video D. Step outside the box, realize that people calling God by other names or doing Christianity in other forms are all our relations.
